VERA MUIR November 3, 1916 - November 19, 2006 Vera Muir, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was taken to her heavenly home early on Sunday morning, November 19, 2006. Vera was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Muir in 1976, daughter Mary in 1966 and grandson Kevin in 1996. Bob and Vera married in 1943, raised a family and farmed in the Niverville area for 30 years. After dad's passing, Mom moved into town and continued to be involved in church and community affairs. Her love of the land and gardening kept her involved in the local Horticultural Society. She enjoyed many years of service as an active member of the Golden Friendship Circle and made many friends there. The last few years, with declining health, Mom was more confined to her apartment, but she kept up her life-long love of reading and learning new things. She bought a computer after she turned 80 and learned to do her banking on-line! She also kept busy with numerous crafts and hand-work. She enjoyed the company of her family, grandkids and great grandkids very much and we made a lot of wonderful memories. We will miss you Mom. She is survived by her son, Bob (Sharyn), son Tom (Lois) and daughter Janet (Jake) and their families. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Niverville United Church. Special thanks to all God's agents at Health Sciences Centre, St. Pierre Hospital and Niverville Home Care for their excellent care during Mom's last two months.
