ROBB CLOUGH Robb would not want me to write him an ordinary obituary. None of the with deep sadness for him. Of course, we are all sad and we will miss him. Upon meeting Robb, you would have thought that he was a quiet, shy guy. Once you got to know him, you came to appreciate his wry sense of humour (straight out of left field), his vast knowledge of weird and wonderful films (also, straight out of left field), his love of chocolate, cookies and junk food and the calm, peaceful way he lived with multiple sclerosis for the last 12 years, one day at a time . Robb was born in Cobourg, ON on November 21, 1950. He is survived by his wife Anne-Shirley; her children, Leslie and Chris Lahoda; his brother Rick (Betty), his niece, Vicki (Lawry) Mitchell and his nephews, Mark (Lorraine) and Michael. He was a great-uncle to six great-nieces and nephews. His mother, Lily and father, Frank predeceased him. Before MS, Robb found his calling working in the film industry. He loved animals, particularly his childhood dogs and his current cat, Peaches. Animals loved him because he had endless patience to have them sit on his lap. He also knew the names and characteristics of all the weird and wonderful animals and birds of the world. I thank National Geographic for that. The staff at Seven Oaks Hospital took excellent care of him during his last week. A special thanks to Bill and Murray who spent many Friday evenings watching weird and wonderful films with him and to the amazing women in the MS Caregivers' Support Group. Also, thanks to the kind, compassionate caregivers, Jonas, Mark, Mike, Carol, Maria, Bicycle Ken , and Sandy, their co-ordinator. Donations may be made to the Winnipeg Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Winnipeg Humane Society. A celebration and film festival will be held at our home (89 McAdam Ave.), Saturday, November 25 at 2:00 p.m. Travel well my dear Robb, my rock. I hope you meet all the Hitchhikers in the Galaxy. Live well and prosper. Love always, Anne-Shirley, xxxooo. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
