WALTER ROWINSKI It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father and grandfather, Walter Rowinski on Monday, November 20, 2006. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoni and Stanislawa; brother Mike and sister Donna Douglas and husband Don. Left to mourn, with beautiful memories are his wife Mary; sons, Wally (Simone), Eddy (Debbie) and daughter Irene; grandson Brendan and granddaughters, Danica, Tori and Kaira. He also leaves brother Steve (Lucy); sister Hedy (Dean) and his nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his cat Baby who he enjoyed taking for walks much to the surprise of all his neighbours. Walter was born on April 25, 1930 in Poland. He came to Canada in 1949 and married Mary Lobczuk on October 6, 1956. We joyfully celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends this past October. He was employed by Inland Steel until retirement. It was at this time he was diagnosed with kidney disease and the next years were filled with many challenges, which he faced courageously and with a smile. We would like to thank all the health care professionals who were involved in his care, especially Seven Oaks Dialysis, where he always felt comfortable and made many friends. Walter loved Birds Hill Park and enjoyed many hot sunny days under our favourite tree. Thanks to Chris for making sure he got out there every chance he could. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m. with viewing one half hour prior at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Walter's memory to the Kidney Foundation. Eternal Rest Grant Unto You CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
