PRISCILLA CHAUDOUET (nee MARCOUX) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Priscilla Chaudouet (nee Marcoux) on Sunday, November 19, 2006. She was born on December 15, 1936 in Lorette, Manitoba where she resided till her passing. Priscilla will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Michel and their children, Nicole (Ron Latour), Gilbert, Jocelyne (Dale Stefanik), Arlette, Rhéal (Kim Loewen) and Gerald; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Laura (Dan) and Melissa Latour, Tamara Chaudouet, Mathieu Chaudouet, Kayla and Jordyn Chaudouet, Genevieve and Chantal Stefanik and great-grandchildren, Kristopher Chaudouet and Mercedes Collins. Priscilla was predeceased by her parents, George and Annie Marcoux; brother Adolphe Marcoux and sister Leona Brant. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Denise Vouriot, Anita Fulmore (Jack), Maryse Olivier (Jean), Lorraine Blunden (Bob), Diane Faucher (Adelard) and Gertrude Gauthier (Roger); brothers, Albini Marcoux (Shirley) and Guy Marcoux (Shirley) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom worked at Canada Packers as Shop Master for 26 years during which time she was very involved with the union. While raising her children, she founded the Lorette 4-H Club and remained the leader for 16 years. She truly believed in keeping children busy by being involved. She was also a very active member of the Catholic Women's League for 22 years. Elle se dévouait totalement à sa famille, sa culture, sa langue, sa foie et sa communauté. En 1985, elle joint le comité culture que sa mère avait fondé en 1974 et elle y était encore très impliquée. De plus, elle faisait partie de l'Association culturelle franco-manitobaine, du comité exécutif de la Fédération des ainés franco-manitobaine et le Club des blés d'or de Lorette. En 1999, elle fut récipiendaire du Prix Riel pour le secteur communautaire. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. with prayers and viewing at 10:00 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Church in Lorette, Manitoba. Cremation to follow. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
