ELAINE MARIE NOWLIN (nee SMALUCK) It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Marie Nowlin announces her passing on November 23, 2006 at the age of 56. Left to cherish Elaine's memory is her loving husband Dave; daughters, Jaya and Andrea; mother Lena Smaluck; brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Linda Smaluck; stepchildren, Vince (Gwen), Wayne (Raquel), Kevin (Kelly), Tracy (Derrick), and Joey (Mireille); stepgrandchildren, Tyler, Thomas, Brandon, and Jaiden, and special friends, Joyce and John Sagriff, Sophie and Jocelyn Crow and Carol Machnee. Elaine was predeceased by her father John in 1999. Born and raised in Grandview, Elaine moved to Winnipeg after high school. After attending university she joined the accounting department at Air Canada, from which she retired in 2004 after 32 years service. In 1986 she married the love of her life, Dave and had two children, Jaya and Andrea, who have been a constant source of pride and joy for her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME, 220 Hespeler Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care staff at Riverview for their help and sensitivity during this difficult time.
