SYLVIA JOAN LAFORTE-CHOWDURY 1961 - 2006 Suddenly on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 Sylvia Joan LaForte-Chowdury passed away at the age of 45 years. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a beloved sister, auntie and friend. We will all miss her funny sense of humour, but mostly her love for her six grand children, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Irene and Joseph LaForte, her brothers Ernest and Lloyd, sister Lorna and nephew Shawn. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Sattar, daughters Tracy and Irene (Terry), siblings Wilfred (Isabel), Marlene (George), Earl (Pearl), Marge, Anita (Clifford), Eugene, Lloyd and many nieces, nephews and friends. We will always miss you. A wake began Friday night, November 24, 2006 in the Christ Anglican Church parish hall Sagkeeng First Nations with the funeral service following on Monday November 27, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church Sagkeeng First Nations. Interment to follow in the parish Cemetery, Rev. Richard and Nancy Bruyere officiating. Active Pallbearers will be her nephews Wayne, Ernest, Anthony, Richard, and Joey LaForte and Allan Bird.
