ELIZABETH ANNA RITTER March 21, 1914 November 17, 2006 Elizabeth passed away peacefully with her husband, Erhard Ritter, at her side in Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg in West St. Paul. Elizabeth was born in Germany and came to Winnipeg in 1952 with her husband and son. Elizabeth and Erhard were long time members of a senior's swim club. Elizabeth also enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Elizabeth's artistic talents in needlework and ceramics will long be remembered by family and friends who received many gifts over the years. For many years, her passion for her garden kept the family busy keeping up the yard work. Her flower gardens were a beautiful sight and she took very much pride in having beautiful blooms and perfect trees and shrubs. Over the years she and her husband had many cherished pets of cats and dogs. Elizabeth was predeceased by her son Herbert E. Tex Ritter (2005) and her grandson John Thomas Ritter (2001). She is survived by her husband Erhard E. Ritter; her grandson Richard Eric Ritter; and daughter-in-law Jacqueline A. Ritter (Oakville, ON); and her niece Ursula Bertschinger; grandnephews and their families, Rico Bertschinger and Mario Bertschinger of Winnipeg. There are many extended members and friends throughout Canada and Germany. Elizabeth's wishes will be respected in that there will not be a funeral service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd. Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
