ISABEL (ISA) (MCCREA) JUHL (nee SHEARER) On Friday, November 24, 2006 Isabel Juhl passed away at the Boyne Lodge Personal Care Home at the age of 95 years. Isa was born in Winnipeg in 1911, eldest daughter of James and Jean Shearer. She was predeceased by Vince McCrea in 1969, George Juhl in 1988; her eldest daughter Jean McIntyre in 2005; daughter-in-law Lynn McCrea in 2001; brothers Jim, Harry (Ann); sisters, Flo Brand (Jack), Nellie Hamit (Sid) and Peggy McIntyre (Norman). Isa leaves to mourn her daughter Lorraine Tibbett (George); her son Don McCrea (Charleen); son-in-law Stewart McIntyre; sister Eleanor Porter; granddaughter, Donna Townley (Mike); great-grandchildren Colleen, Ben and Julia. Also surviving are two stepsons, Bill (Terry) and family from California, Tim (Joanie) and family from Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. Isa married Vince McCrea in 1933. They lived in the Wingham district until 1944, then moved to Elm Creek. In 1979, she married George Juhl from Michigan, USA. They lived in Michigan and Manitoba until 1988 when George passed away. Isa enjoyed farm life and loved horses. She was a member of Wingham U.C.W. and Elm Creek U.C.W. where she remained president for many years and held the meetings in her home, to help the more elder members remain active. Isa was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, for over fifty years. She was a past matron of Carman Chapter #4. When Carman Chapter closed she affiliated with Friendship Chapter #67 in Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held in the St. Andrew's United Church in Elm Creek, Manitoba on December 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch to follow in basement of church.
