Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADAM ZEATON Adam Zeaton passed away with his daughter Paula at his side on November 24, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Adam was born March 27, 1926 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Peter and Anna Zytkewich. He began his career with Massey Ferguson and later joined Carpathia Credit Union. Adam led a full and spirited life. He enjoyed many different activities over the years, which included fishing, wine making, bowling, singing, dancing and travelling to the United States to enjoy some gambling. He was a proud and devoted member of the Knights of Columbus (Canon Luhovy Assembly) and a lifelong member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral. He was very proud of his Ukrainian heritage. He was a generous soul, and to that end was very active in community service. If a job needed to be done well, he was your man. Adam was blessed with a large and loving family. His parents, wife Jean, infant grandson, brother Walter, and most recently his eldest sister Pauline (October 2006) predeceased him. Adam, or Gigi', will be greatly missed by his only child Paula, her husband Gary, grandchildren Jeff (Dana), Kelly (Jeff) and Jillian, and his one great-grandchild Tyler. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers Paul and Frank (Nellie), and his sister Jean, and their families in Manitoba, Ontario and United States. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating. Service will terminate at the church. As per Adam's wishes, honorary pallbearers will be Honourable Gary Filmon and his wife Janice, Dr. and Mrs. Taras Babick, Mike Kowpak and Peter Dillon. Pallbearers will be Robert, Howard, Rod and Guy Zeaton, Jason Fryer, Myron May and Wally Tomchyshyn. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adam's memory may be made to either the Autism Society of Manitoba, Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral Renovation Fund, or a charity of choice. Rest in Peace Gigi.
