ROZALIA (ROSE) MANKIEWICZ It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Rose on November 24, 2006 at Seven Oaks Hospital, surrounded by her children and grandchildren, she left this world peacefully. She was predeceased by her husband Karl and parents. Left to mourn her memory are her four children, Frances (Gene) Podlesiecki, Ramona (George) Dziarmaga, Kaz Mankiewicz (Janina) and Elizabeth (Les) Kulczycki. Rose will be dearly missed by her 8 grandchildren whom she greatly adored; Chris, Alison, Vanessa, Monica, Jeanette, Tomas, Gregory and Katherine. She also leaves to mourn her only sister Maria Mukoid; nieces Sophie De Witt and Donna Maryk along with their families and many other relatives and friends. Rose was born in Poland on February 11, 1927 and immigrated to Canada along with her family in 1960. She lived for her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Many people were touched by her gentle manner, warm smile and kind heart. She was employed at the Holy Family Nursing Home for 31 years. After retiring she spent many happy years residing at the Canadian Polish Manor. Rose loved to entertain and travel with family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to her friends at the Manor especially Zofia, Czesia and Felusia for their friendship and kindness. During the last few years of Rose's declining health she lived at the Sharon Home. The family would like to acknowledge the staff of the second floor and Dr. Chung for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate for their prayers and support during her final days. Rosary will be said on Tuesday, November 28 at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father as Celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Rose was a devout Catholic and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Ghost Church Sharing God's Gift Fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
