THOMAS (TOM) E. SPINKS Veteran of the Second World War Thomas (Tom) E. Spinks, (Veteran of the Second World War), passed away peacefully at Peterborough Health Centre, on Sunday, November 26, 2006 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Ruby (Joyce) Spinks for more than 60 years. Predeceased by parents, Annie and Merville Spinks. Loving father of John and Cheryle Spinks of Hanmer, Eric and Diane Spinks of Huntsville, Ian and Joelle Spinks of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Elaine and David Midgley of Bethany. Proud grandfather of Jason and MaryJo, Rohin and fiancé Misty McConell, Melissa and Andrew, Cindy, Tom and fiancé Katie, Brendan, Kirsten, Kylie, Ryan and great-grandfather of Cole, Josie and Ruby. Brother of Eva, Marilyn, Gloria, Ethel, the late Gwen, Alden, John and Mary. A retired Falconbridge Nickel Mines First Aid attendant, Tom was passionate about gardening and shared the fruit of his labour with many grateful neighbours. His skill with a fishing rod put many savoury dishes on the family table. His love of gardening and fishing fell right into place behind the passion for his family. He will be sadly missed by all. Friends are invited to call at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 77 Second St., Campbellford from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2006. A Memorial Service will be held in the E.W. Al Weaver Chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by the interment of Cremated Remains in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Campbellford. Donations to the Diabetes Association, Lung Association or Heart Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
