MARY SOBKOWICH (nee STONOGA) March 24, 1917 - November 25, 2006 With much sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Sam; her parents Jacob and Mary Stonoga; siblings, Tony, Kay, Tilly, Rose, Stella, John, Joe and Frank. She is survived by brother Mike Stonoga; and sister Steffie; numerous nieces and nephews; son Teddy (Alma); daughter Margaret (John) Woloshyn; grandchildren, Mona (Kelly Smith), Rhonda (Dave Nichol), Lori (Trevor Novak) and Jeff (Tatako); great-grandchildren, Aaryn, Benjamin and Olivia Smith, Bryan and Brady Nichol and Aimee Novak. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to staff of Deer Lodge Centre. Baba, we were so proud of your fighting spirit, your determination, giving nature, and your keen interest of all of us. We will miss you. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2006, at the Fisher Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment will be at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
