VIOLA CZECH (nee PATERSON) August 8, 1931 - November 26, 2006 Viola was predeceased by her husband Ben (1998); parents, Fred (1960) and Frances (2002); brothers, Roddy, Jimmy, Ricky; sisters, Kay, Anne; brothers-in-law Lowell, Jack, Jim; sister-in-law Jean; granddaughter Terri-Lynn; nephew Kurt and niece Connie. On Sunday, November 26, 2006, Viola entered into eternal rest. Viola fought her illness with courage, dignity and determination. She will be remembered for her ready smile, and great laugh by son Allan (Careth); granddaughter Crystal; daughter Deborah; brother Billy; sisters, Bea, Dorothy (Walter), Pat, Diane (Keith); sisters-in-law, Sharon, Phyllis; brother-in-law Berny and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Harris and her Oncology staff for their kindness, dedication and support they extended to Viola and her family during the last year. A large thank you also goes out to Dr. Naseer Ahmend and Rebecca of CancerCare Manitoba for their tremendous support. As well as Concordia Hospital nursing staff, 3rd floor East, for their support and care during her recent stay. Also the hospital palliative care support staff who enabled Viola to carry out her last wish of returning home. While at home she was grateful for the help and support of the palliative care givers. The staff of Riverview 3 East deserve praise for offering Viola and her family the loving care and serenity so wished for in her final hours. A very special thank you to the thoughtful friends and family who went above and beyond for Viola. She appreciated each and every one of you! At Viola's request a private memorial service will be held. Remembrances may be made in Viola's memory to the Concordia Hospital Oncology Department, 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8.
