ANNA ZIEMSKI (nee MIHALCHUK) July 22, 1927 November 26, 2006 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the age of 79 years at the Health Sciences Centre. She will be fondly remembered by her husband Teddy of 54 years; daughters Christina, Katherine Muc (Harry) and Patricia Marshall (Cam); also five grandchildren Daniel, Olivia, Adriana, Lauren and Alexander. She is also survived by her sister Helen; brother Lawrence and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents George and Michalina, brothers Demetri, George and Alexander Mihalchuk. Anna was born and raised in Winnipeg. After graduating in 1947 from Normal School she became a teacher and spent the greater part of her life in this profession while raising her family. She also held numerous volunteer positions such as involvement in Catholic Education at the School for the Deaf and at St. Gerard Church. At age 60 she retired from the Winnipeg School Division as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, her garden and flowers and many fun times at our cottage. Many thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Concordia Hospital, relatives and friends for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gerard Parish Church, 45 Foster Street, Friday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Father Pierre Wood. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark Mihalchuk, John Radul, Michael Kelly, Tom Nesby, Don Jones and Daniel Muc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Health Sciences Center Foundation, 620 Sherbrook St.,Wpg., MB, R3A 1R9 or a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
