EDWARD ALEXANDER LEMON February 4, 1914 - November 27, 2006 Edward passed away peacefully at the age of 92. Left to cherish his memory is Jocelyn, his loving wife of 64 years, children Ted, Peter (Linda), and Nancy (Ken), and grandchildren Alison, Leslie, Laura, Iain, and Scott. He is also survived by his sister Ruthie of California, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his siblings Gus, Ken, and Sylvia and his son David. Dad was born and spent all of his life in Winnipeg, except for the years spent serving in the airforce, from 1939 - 1945, including service with the RCAF 402 squadron. Dad was a very caring person and much of his life was spent in the service of others. He was involved all of his life at St. Luke's Church, from scouts to Warden to Campanologist (bell ringer). Dad had many interests including ballroom dancing, skating, badminton, golf, and boating. He loved the outdoors and cherished the time he spent at Fox Lake and Whytewold with all of the family. With Dad family always came first and we all treasure the special times we had with him. A celebration of his life will be held on November 30 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Anglican Church (130 Nassau Street N.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Bell Tower Fund care of St. Luke's Anglican Church (130 Nassau Street N., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2H1) or the Sunshine Fund (302-960 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0R4).
