DOLPHIS RODERICK GENAILLE June 11, 1941 - November 27, 2006 It's with great sorrow that we the family announce the passing of our Dad, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 65. Rod is survived by his children, Gertie (Bill), Allan, Phyllis (John), Deb (Mark), Wendell, Richard (Marcella), Debbie Jean and his baby Roselyn (Glenn), 27 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna and Doreen; brother Angus and friend Mildred and Darcy, four stepsisters, numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. Rod was predeceased by Marie, the mother of his children; son Glen; his mother Maryanne and father Samuel, four sisters and five brothers, one stepsister and two stepbrothers. The family would like to thank social worker Alyson Haiart and the staff (4th, 5th and 6th floor) of the Health Sciences Centre for all the support and care they gave our Dad. Pallbearers will be Dennis and Lucian Spence, Deano Bear and his grandsons, Kevin Bunn, Roger and Marx Ballantyne. Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Immediately following the viewing, a wake will take place at the Scanterbury Band Hall. A celebration of Rod's life will be held on Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Band Hall. Interment to follow at St. Phillips Cemetery in Scanterbury, MB. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
