ETHLINE MAUDE GILBERT (nee REYNOLDS) Peacefully, on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home, Ethline Gilbert passed away at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Leslie in February 22, 1982. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ruby English of St. Catherine, Jamaica, Ivy (Oswald) Coombs and Daphne Gilbert of Winnipeg, MB, and her nephew that was like her own son, Alteman Francis of St. Catherine, Jamaica and 18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren and many dear friends. Ethline was born in Bagwalk, St. Catherine, Jamaica, on May 22, 1912. She married Leslie in 1947. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1983. She was a longtime member and very active in the original Berean Church of God. She has touched the lives of many in a very special way. She was lovingly referred as Mama or Mother Gilbert . Viewing will be held between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Thursday, November 30, with a prayer being said at 8:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A going home service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 1 at the New Anointing Christian Fellowship Winnipeg Inc., 1425 Manitoba Ave., phone 582-8287. Interment will follow in Ewarton Cemetery, St. Catherine's, Jamaica. Special thanks are extended to all the staff of Meadowood Manor for all their loving care given to Ethline and her family.
