Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDEXTER REYNOLD SPOONER It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Dexter on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the age of 59 years. Dexter was predeceased by his father Harvey. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sons Walter and Jesse, his mother Mae, his brothers Allan and Brian, his sisters Beverley, Susan, Barbara, Sandra and Jody, nieces, nephews and his special friend Janie Murphy. Dexter had the gift to turn the plainest of items into a beautiful work of art. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was very well read. Unfortunately his last few years were difficult due to his failing health. Many thanks to the kind staff at the St. Boniface Hospital MICU. At Dexter's request, cremation has taken place. A gathering and celebration of Dexter's life will take place on Friday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free 1-888-233-4949.

I'm lucky to have had Dexter in my life. Not only did he rescue me from the mosquitoes with the foamy Off, carry me to safety after I stepped on a shard of glass at the Norwood Community Club but he inspired me to decorate my home at Christmas which has become a passion for me and a tribute to him as well. Thank you Dexter. I love you and think about you often. - Posted by: Susan (sister ) on: Jan 03, 2016
