MURIEL MAY LISTER August 17, 1922 - November 27, 2006 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Muriel Lister on November 27, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are children, Brian (Shawne), Irene (Wayne); grandchildren, Heather, Steven and Michelle; her sister Irene; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lister, Hilda Washer and Iris Washer, and her nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Bert two years ago and within the last three months she has lost her brothers, Alan and Ernie. Muriel left home and family to come to Canada to marry Bert whom she had met during the war. Here she raised her family and led an active and fulfilling life. She swam, canoed, exercised, volunteered at St. Amant, and belonged to the Chancel Guild and later the Linen Guild, making many very dear and wonderful friends in each group she belonged to. She felt lucky to have taken many trips back home to England as well as holidays in the south, two trips to Churchill and a few winters in Vancouver. Muriel also spent a lot of time with her grandchildren, playing with them at St. Vital Park, going swimming with them for years every Friday evening, babysitting, concerts, games --- she loved it all. In accordance to Muriel's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Friday, December 1 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene, 3 St. Vital Rd. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations can be made to the CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J.
