Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES READING CROWE James Reading Crowe died in Thunder Bay Hospital at the age of 86, following a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Jim was the only son of James Alexander and Zeta Crowe, both of Winnipeg. Following high school, Jim was an investment dealer in Winnipeg for a few years. He then moved to Kelowna, British Columbia and travelled extensively in Europe and California during the winter months, returning to Kelowna and the family summer home, Acadia Island in Lake of the Woods, Kenora, Ontario during the summertime. Jim loved dachshunds and at the time of his death had Spencer, age 14. Jim has indicated that he wants Acadia Island to be preserved as a bird sanctuary. Cremation will take place in Thunder Bay. At his request, there will be no service. Jim's ashes will be buried with his mother in Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg.
