RUTH ELLEN DUSHENKO (nee RAMAGE) It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our devoted mother and grandmother on November 29, 2006, peacefully with her family by her side at the Grace Hospital. Ruth's memory will be cherished by her children, Maurice Moe (Jeannie), Marsha (Steve) Olnick and Michael (Margaret) as well as grandsons, Matthew and Reid Olnick. Ruth was proud to have grown up in a family of 15 and she will be dearly missed by her siblings, Hugh (Heather), Edith, Eric, Allen (Yvonne), Ian, Olive (Stan) and Shirley. She leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Erna, Nell, Muriel and brother-in-law Bud as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Mike; brothers, Angus and Alex; sisters, Eva, Jean, Edna, Minnie, Alice and in-laws, George, Ralph, Dave, Elmer, Den, Fred, Shirley, Ellen, Floyd, Fred, Anne, Ellis, Jim, Effie, Gail and Mike. Mom was always generous, full of love, life and laughter. A devoted and dedicated wife to Mike for 34 years. Ruth was born on June 14, 1922 and raised in Wawota, Saskatchewan. As a young woman she became a hairdresser and enjoyed the many friends she made along the way. Mom was blessed with two grandsons, whom she described as the lights of her life and loved to see life through their eyes. Ruth lived in Charleswood for many years and moved to Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts in 2004. This move provided her with an opportunity for continued independence and also opened doors to new friendships. Mom was a pleasure to be around and we will miss her love and her great sense of humour. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 in Ruth's memory. CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715
