Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLEN ARNOTT KENDRICK A life well-lived is a precious gift. It is with great sadness we announce that on November 8, 2006 Glen peacefully passed away at home, with the love of his family around him. He was 54 years old. Glen Arnott Kendrick was born on May 14, 1952 in Roblin, only son of Orval and Margaret (Arnott) Kendrick. His mother Margaret predeceased Glen in 1968. Glen is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 32 years Margie of Roblin. Also surviving are his three children: David (Melissa Clibbery Walklett) of Winnipeg, Nancy Kendrick of Rossburn, and Michael (Cassie Jasper) of Brandon; father Orval (Jean) Kendrick; sisters, Joyce (Jim) Bork and Betty (Bob) Dayson, all of Roblin; niece Jennifer Bork (Chris Kostiuk) of Saskatoon; Uncle Bill Arnott of Roblin; father and mother-in-law, George and Joan Creaser of Brandon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Kate Creaser and children Elexis, Tom and Emma, of Calgary, and Bill and Cathie Creaser and children Curtis (Crystal), Eric, and Jeffrey of Athabasca, AB, as well as many other relatives and a community of neighbours and friends. Glen's short life was an example of a life well lived. He was kind, gentle, loving, and a positive thinker. His cup was always full. He tried to see the good in everyone and would always be there to lend a helping hand. Glen loved to visit over a cup of coffee or a game of cards. He could carry on a discussion with anyone, about any topic and especially enjoyed a great debate, often taking the other side, just for the sake of a debate. Glen was patient with everyone, and especially with his children; the loves of his life. He was actively involved and helped out with whatever they were involved in whether it was homework, science fair projects, boy scouts, dance, 4H, hockey, etc. Glen also volunteered his time to be on the Parent Advisory Committee, the Recreation Commission, various Church Committees, Tummel Cemetery Committee and was a MB Pool Elevator Delegate. Glen was a great thinker, very scientific, and willing to tackle any project, repair, or invention, enjoying the challenge. People of all ages enjoyed Glen's sense of humour and his entertaining ways. He will be fondly remembered as Pumpkin Pie Man by the children at the daycare, and as Sheriff Buzz Saul from last years church play. Glen loved the farm and respected the land, nature and the farming way of life. Together he and Margie raised their children to believe, and showed by example, that we are all responsible for one another and that what we choose to do each day does make a difference. During the past two years of Glen's life he displayed unbelievable courage, quiet strength and determination, fighting hard to battle cancer. Throughout the journey, he never once complained and always looked on the brighter side of things. A special thanks to all the dedicated staff on GD4 at the Health Sciences Centre for all their exceptional care and support during Glen's hospital stay. For Glen and his family, GD4 became more like home than a hospital. A very special thank you is extended to Glen's oncologist Dr. P. Czaykouski and Nurse Denise for their positive outlook and unconditional support. The Kendrick family would also like to extend their extreme gratitude to Marilyn Bruce, oncology nurse and Judith Deatrich and the Spiritual Care Department at HSC as well as the many staff at Cancer Care Manitoba. Think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched For nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Interment Service was held at Deer-Park Cemetery, Tummel, MB, on Monday November 13, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service was held Monday, November 13, 2006 at 2:00 o'clock from Knox United Church, Roblin, MB, with Reverend David Maxwell officiating. All those who had shared in Glen's life were asked to consider themselves Honorary Casket Bearers. Following the Funeral Service a reception for family and friends was held from Roblin Community Centre.
