GUDRUN INGVELDUR (INGA) GARBUTT (nee EINARSON) Peacefully, on November 28, 2006 at the Lundar Personal Care Home, Inga Garbutt, aged 92 years of Lundar, MB. She is survived by daughters, Louise, Sandra (Welland); 10 grandchildren, Glenn, Gary (Irene), Phyllis (Cameron), Wanda (Jim), Chris, Sheryl (Larry), Wade (Angela), Wendy (Jake), Steven (Sandra), and Stewart (Carla); nine great-grandchildren, Nicole, Riley, Dusty, Taylor, Sydny, Madison, Jaclyn, Brooke, and Jillian; her Garbutt family, sons, Murray (Nadine) and Ernie (Gloria); daughters, Sandy (Amile) and Verna (Eric) and their families; two sisters, Thora and Elsie; sister-in-law Shirley; along with numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Diane; husband Fridgeir; daughter Gloria; son-in-law Bergsveinn; second husband Russell; son-in-law Jack; two sisters, Helga and Lena; four brothers, Bjarni, Mundi, Stefan and Konrad. Inga enjoyed taking care of her garden and doing her yard work. She loved sewing and knitting for her family. During the annual Lundar Fair she took great pride entering her cooking, knitting and sewing. She cherished visits from special friends of the Maryhill district and Lundar area. She treasured family gatherings and visits. Haying and raking with the horses were highlights in her younger years. Later in life, Inga took pleasure in crafting ceramics. Mom continued to knit and sew for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at the Lundar Lutheran Church with Pastor Nancy Walker officiating. Interment to follow in the Lundar Municipal Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Glenn Summerton, Gary Summerton, Wade Thorgilsson, Steven Thorgilsson, Stewart Thorgilsson, and Dusty Brandson. Special thanks to the workers at the Personal Care Home in Lundar for the care they gave our Mom over the years. Thank you to Arnason's for their compassion and help with all the arrangements.
