Date of Passing: Nov 30, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN JAQUET Kathleen Jaquet passed away peacefully on November 30, 2006 at Red River Place, having just celebrated her 87th birthday. Kay left us on what would have been the 66th anniversary of her marriage to her beloved Victor who predeceased her in 2002 and with whom she shared 62 wonderful years. She was also predeceased by her daughters, Karren Ostap and Dana Stoces. Kay will be fondly remembered by her daughter Derris Uhrig and husband Robert; her son-in-law William Ostap and wife Dana; son-in-law Frank Stoces; grandchildren, Gordon Ostap, Jackie Ostap-Bragg and husband John, Darci Anonychuk and fiancé Pat Martin, Joslyn Biggins and husband Michael Lewin; and great-grandchildren, Cortni Seier, Emma, Olivia and Lilly Bragg, Isabel and Hanna Lewin. Kay and Vic were active members of the Little Britain community and treasured dearly their many friendships with friends and neighbours. Granny will be remembered for her culinary talents, especially her perogies, holupchies and freezers-full-of-dainties. It makes us smile to know that Grandpa will be serving you a glass of Benedictine tub-side and doting on you once again. The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for the constant good care and attention during the seven years she called Red River her home. We are also grateful for Dr. Lindenschmidt's kind counsel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home with Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating. A viewing will take place 1/2 hour prior to service. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E OV9 or www.cancercare.org. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
