EDWARD FRANK KOST SR. August 10, 1930 December 1, 2006 It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our much loved husband, father and grandfather, Edward at the Health Sciences Centre. Remaining to celebrate his life are his wife Joyce of 53 years and children Kathy, Gino (Susan Fair), Christopher (Janet); grandchildren Sara, Jessica, Collin and Lauren, brother Dr. Walter Kost Sr. (Erna) of Saskatoon; sisters-in-law Andrè Kost of Montreal, Adele Kost of Winnipeg, Louise (Jerry deceased) Gaba of Winnipeg, Annette (Anton) Dyck of Edmonton and many nieces and nephews. Ed volunteered at St. Benedict's Monastery, St. Joseph's Residence and enjoyed it immensely. He was a religious person who attended St. John Cantius Church faithfully. He was an altar boy and played the organ at the church in his youth. He was an Oblate of St. Benedict , a member of C.P.A.C. Club and St. John Cantius Seniors and member of Knights of Columbus #5369. He loved his children and grandchildren and attended their extra curricular activities when his health permitted. He loved puttering in his garage, garden - his green thumb will be sorely missed. He was a gentle man and a gentleman. Viewing will be on Tuesday, December 5 at 10:15 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Fr. Henryk Uczniak as Celebrant. Private interment to follow. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to St. Benedicts Foundation 255 Masters Avenue , Winnipeg, MB, R4A 2A1. If these walls could talk they would speak of a man Who has worked with great heart to accomplish his plan. They'd speak of the times that he prayed in the night For the strength to go on, and to do what is right. They'd speak of sweet moments of laughter and fun The times with his children, his love for each one. Oh, if they could talk, it would be just the start Of a story of love, a great man and his heart.
