TEOFILA GRODZKI Teofila Grodzki passed away at the Concordia Hospital in the evening of December 3, 2006 at the age of 83. She is survived by her daughters, Jolita and Miroslawa; her son Willi; her cousin Krystyna (British Columbia, with children, Roman and Marek) and many cousins throughout Eastern Europe. She was predeceased by her son Krzysztof (Poland, 2004); grandson Marcin (Poland, 2006) and Aunt Serafina (British Columbia, 2001). She will be kindly remembered by her children and six grand-children, (Iwona, Aleksander, Slawek, Patryk, Piotr and Malgorzata). A memorial service will be held in Teofila's honour at the Cropo Funeral Home at 1442 Main St. on Thursday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. Reception will follow. The family extends its thanks to the staff of the Concordia Hospital where Teofila spent her last days, Dr. Babick and the St. Mary and St. Francis wards of the Holy Family Nursing Home where she lived since spring of 2005 (special thanks to June and Kathy). Per Teofila's wishes, her body has been contributed to the University of Manitoba for the advancement of medicine through anatomical study. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
