RAMONA MARGARET REMPEL (nee KIRSCHMAN) Trusting her Lord throughout her lengthy battle with cancer, Ramona went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 69 years. She will be sadly missed by Herbert, her loving husband of 50 years; son, Brian (Anne); daughters, Karen Kimball (Dave), Darlene Peacock (Bruce), Cynthia Van Volkingburgh (James); grandchildren, Cara Rempel, Kristy, Colleen, and Heather Kimball, Chad and Katie Peacock, and Annie, Alicia, and Timothy Van Volkingburgh; her brother Elmer Kirschman (Joyce); sister Lorraine Seemann (Norbert) and brother Gary Kirschman, as well as many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Kirschman; her brother Clifford; her sister-in-law, Sarah Kirschman. Ramona and Herb were married December 29, 1956. She was a woman of deep faith, accepting the Lord as her Saviour in September, 1973. As a couple they were actively involved in Kirkfield Park Baptist Church for many years, and more recently, Calvary Temple. Ramona was a homemaker by choice, making her husband and family a priority. She enjoyed camping and travelled extensively. She had a wonderful gift of hospitality and was a good listener. She was always cheerful and fun-loving, supportive to others, encouraging them, even when she herself was having difficulties. Our love for you will never be past tense! With great love comes great sorrow, but we know you have run a good race and finished the course well. We will never forget your example and we await our heavenly reunion. A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses who were involved in her care over the years, and to Dr. Macek and nurses at the Grace Hospital for their recent care. Thanks also to Pastors, Bruce Martin and Bruce Logan who gave spiritual comfort and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith to Live By, P.O. Box 426, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2H6. Viewing will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, 433 Main St., Stonewall.
