PETER PLETT After a two year battle with cancer, Peter Plett, a man of faith and conviction, died at the age of 87, on December 5, 2006 while at Concordia Hospital. He leaves to mourn Sue, his wife of 64 years; son Carl; daughters, Kathy and Ronalee with her husband Jim Janzen; grandchildren, Joseph, Jessica and William Janzen; two sisters, Mary Loewen, Tena Barkman; and sister-in-law Minnie. He was predeceased by sisters, Justina (Peter) Fehr, Helen (Jake) Rempel; brother Henry; brothers-in-law, Menno Barkman and Dave Loewen. Peter retired in 1984 from E.H. Price. He enjoyed many active years travelling, visiting with friends and relatives, woodworking, being a handyman and especially helping Jim on the farm. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. P. Harris and the wonderful oncology staff at Concordia Hospital. Viewing will be at Friends Funeral Service on Thursday, December 7 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a brief devotional at 7:15 p.m. Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 8 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood M.B. Church, 145 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MCC or Family Life Network.
