Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEILEEN ALDER On Monday, December 4, 2006, Eileen Alder, beloved wife of John Leslie Alder, went to be with her Lord, at the age of 77. She was predeceased by both of her parents and all of her siblings, three brothers and two sisters. In addition to her husband Les, Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Ruth (Mark) Tombs, Lynne (Larry) VanBeek, Carole (Mike) Baker; five grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Takara, Tanya and Lauren, numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Eileen Haskey was born on June 4, 1929 in London, England. In 1947, at the age of 18, along with her family, she moved to Winnipeg. It was here that she met Les and they were married in 1955. Following his graduation from Northwest Bible College, they went into ministry and served the Lord for over 40 years. Over the years they pastored in Alberta at Bowville, in Manitoba at Belmont, Roseisle, Carman, Swan River and Winnipeg (Weston Gospel Church), in Saskatchewan at Tisdale and in the U.S. in North Platte, Nebraska and Waterloo, Iowa and a time of evangelistic ministry from 1976 to 1981. Eileen will always be remembered for her simple faith in the Lord. She took the promises of God literally. Family was very important to her and she expressed her love freely. During her ministry years, she went courageously with her husband into a number of difficult situations and always made a house into a home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Weston Gospel Church, 1787 Logan Ave. with viewing prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made to ERDO, Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, 2450 Milltower Court, Mississauga, ON L5N 5Z6.
