F. ERNEST GARRETT (ERNIE) On Thursday, December 7, 2006 Frederick Ernest Garrett died at the age of 98 years. Ernie was born in Winnipeg on June 12, 1908. He was the last surviving child of Harry A. Garrett Sr. and Dorothea Garrett, having being predeceased by brothers, Harry A. Jr., Jack and sisters, Florence, Eva and Dorothy. He was also predeceased by his loving wife Ellen Thelma (nee Nelson) in June, 1990 at White Rock, BC and by his cherished friend Helen in April 2001. He is survived by sister-in-law Ida Hankinson and brother-in-law Eric Hamilton Nelson and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Ernie was employed in the general insurance business in Winnipeg for 46 years and in Vancouver for three years. He and Ellen then retired to White Rock. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral service. Interment will be in Lilyfield Cemetery at a later date. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
