GISELE LAFLEUR (nee GEORGE) 1926 - 2006 It is with great sorrow that we announce that Gisele LaFleur passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, December 5, 2006. Gisele was predeceased by her father Jules in 1952; her mother Ida (nee Questiaux) in 1953; and her beloved husband Charles (Mickey) LaFleur in 1991. She leaves to mourn her sons, Larry and Brian; four grandchildren, Michael (Tamara), Ryan (Sherry), Jacqueline and Denyse; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Ashton; as well as many cousins in Canada, the USA, Belgium and France. Her family was her life. They came first. She was interested in everything they did and was so proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long-standing member of the Catholic Women's League, the Eaton's Retiree Club and the Kenbur Club. She fondly recollected her travels to Ottawa, Montreal, the west coast and Hawaii with Mickey and later on, Europe and Chicago to visit relatives. Gisele was particularly fond of Jazz and watching the Montreal Canadians, Expos, Blue Bombers and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in South Bend. Her visits with Larry in Ottawa and travel outings with Brian, especially to Florida and California were always cherished. Gisele will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, her gentle demeanour and charity to all who crossed her path. Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 847 St. Mary's Rd. in St. Vital at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12. Reception will follow in the church hall. A private interment of Gisele's cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, D1003 - 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 9Z9. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO.
