ETHEL BROTMAN Ethel Markovits Brotman, beloved wife of Dr. Archibald Brotman; daughter of Alexander and Rebecca Markovits, and sister of Sheila Markovits Maxwell, Dr. Samuel Markovits, Benjamin Markovits and Morris Markovits, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2006. She was 95. She is survived by her nieces, Melanie Maxwell and Barbara Markovits; her nephews, Richard Maxwell and Ronald Markovits; her great-nephews, Alan and Joel Markovits; her close friends, Benson and Sharon Labinsky, Harold and Dee Buchwald, Dr. Sam and Faye Stedman; and others too numerous to count. She will be sorely missed. Active pallbearers included: Ronald Markovits, Richard Maxwell, Richard Buchwald, Joel Cogan, Danny Hamberg and Walter Stern. Honorary pallbearers included: Harold Buchwald and Sam Stedman. Flowers are respectively declined, donations to the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue or the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba would be appreciated. Truly, strength and honour were her clothing.
