MARILYN BICKLE On December 2, 2006 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, after a very courageous struggle with multiple health issues. Marilyn will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 54 years, Warner and her children, daughter Sandra Barsy (Roger) of Winnipeg; sons, Kelly (Sandy) of Vancouver and Scott of The Pas and grandchildren, Paul and Diana Barsy, Jennifer and Colby Bickle. She was predeceased by her children, Frank and Lisa. Marilyn was born in Regina in 1933 and spent her most of her early years in Winnipeg before moving to The Pas with her parents Lester and Inez Wilson in 1950. She was one of only three women in her high school graduation class in 1952. After marriage to Warner, Mom enjoyed raising her family in The Pas. She ensured that many good times were had during the growing years. In the early 1970s, she joined Warner in the family business Snookerland - a billiard hall and video arcade. Here she found a grand outlet for her talents behind the counter. With a ready laugh and a cheerful word, she had a magic with the customers and had a remarkable knack for making many special friends along the way. She really thrived in this busy, noisy environment full of young people. Warner and Marilyn retired in the early 1990s. And what a wonderful grandmother - showing inspired interest and offering support for any activity along with incredible and fun treats . Mom loved to read and took a keen interest in sports and politics. In July 2004, she embraced the internet age and thoroughly enjoyed email and on-line shopping. She was fascinated by the mysteries of her computer and subscribed to techie magazines and on-line newsletters. In accordance with Mom's clear wishes, no services will be held. Messages of condolences for Warner and the family can be sent to 301 - 495/505 Stradbrook Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L OK2. Mom has left us with a treasure chest of warm memories and the example of life in the moment - true gifts for the future.
