DORIS GRAY MILLER (nee ALLAN) Born in Winnipeg, February 25, 1912 - Died in Vancouver, November 29, 2006 On November 29, 2006 at Braddan Private Hospital, where she received wonderful care for the last six years of her life. The sixth of 13 siblings, she outlived all but her brother Bob, with whom she often shared the experiences of failing health and old age with humour and patience. She was a natural caregiver all her life, first with the many brothers and sisters who came after her, and in later life to her mother, sisters, and anyone else in need. She was happily married for 27 years to Gordon Douglass Miller of Winnipeg and Vancouver. Widowed at 47, she trained as a home care provider and worked for Vancouver Family Services until she retired. Known as GG to her eight great-grandchildren, she was a wise, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Gordon and Douglass; daughter-in-law Dale, and four grandchildren, Sam, Jeffrey (and Pamela), James and Jewel.
