DOREEN JOYCE STEINKE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Joyce Steinke, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully on December 7, 2006 at the St. Boniface General Hospital with her family by her side. Left to cherish her memory,is her beloved husband of 50 years, Malford Robert Steinke, her son Dennis Steinke, (Linda McDougall), Darlene Kalinski, (Randy), Neal Steinke, (Alisha), and three grandchildren, Brittany, Colton, and Tamara Kalinski. As well as numerous relatives and close friends. She also leaves to mourn her brother Herb Rach (Esther), and brother Gordon Rach, and sister Gladys MacGregor. She is predeceased by her parents August and Elsie Rach, and her brother Norman Rach. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at St. Boniface General Hospital for their tremendous compassion and care for our mother. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, or to the Good Shepherd Lutheran church of Selkirk if so desired. Cremation has taken place and prayers will be held on Wednesday December 13, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday December 14, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in The Good Shepherd Lutheran church, 6088 Highway #9, Selkirk with Pastor Dave Saude officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. We shed tears that she is gone, and smile because she has lived, loved, and been loved. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
