STELLA VICTORIA PETROW On December 8, 2006, at Concordia Hospital, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 83 years. She is survived by sons, Terry (Gloria), Myron (Doreen), grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Matthew and Daniel. Step-granddaughter Joanne (Clarence). Predeceased by her husband Michael Stephen Petrow, sisters, Elsie and Doris, brother Fred, parents, Olga Melnychuk and Harry Kostiuk. Mom was born in Pine River, MB on August 10, 1923 to Harry and Olga Kostiuk. She married Mike on October 5, 1948 and moved to Winnipeg to start their life together. Mom was a life long member of the Holy Trinity Cathedral where she enjoyed singing in the choir, church bowling, ladies auxiliary, Vesalka Camp and perogy making with her friends. She went on many camping trips to BC and traveled to Florida, Hawaii, Jamaica and Mexico. Mom liked her yard, flowers and especially her kitchen, where she made wonderful food. She will be missed by her family and friends, God Bless her. The family would like to thank the following people and organizations: Dr. Duerksen, staff at the Concordia Hospital and her friends. Prayers will be said on Monday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main Street. Funeral Rite will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 12 at 9:30 a.m. also at the Cathedral. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, and the Canadian Diabetes Society. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
