PAUL EDMOND MOUSSEAU June 20, 1926 December 9, 2006 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Paul Edmond Mousseau on Saturday, December 9 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his parents Antonin and Fabiola, his brother Georges and sister Annette. Paul will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years Aline (nee Roy), daughters Diane, Louise (Glen), his son Denis (Rhonda) and his four grandchildren Renée, Evan, Dayle and Jared. He also leaves behind his brothers Lucien (Jacqueline), Maurice (Pauline), his sisters Antonia (Maurice) and Jeannine (Roland). He will also be missed by his long time friend Roland Senez. Born on June 20, 1926 in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Paul was an avid 10 pin bowler his entire life. He met his wife Aline, setting pins at the Cercle Ouvrier and their romance blossomed. In November 1995, Paul was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame of Manitoba. Between 1946 and 1984 in the Cercle Ouvrier League, Paul won the highest average award nineteen times, twelve times between 1946 and 1960 alone. In the Winnipeg City Senior League, where he competed from 1946 to 1982, Paul was the League High Average winner five times (194 highest), the Least Errors Winner ten times and had a high single game of 279 in 1970. Paul worked at CN Rail for 42 years as a blacksmith until an industrial accident forced his early retirement in 1985. With limited use of his right arm, he continued to pursue his passion for 10 pin bowling and relearned to bowl left handed. Paul was a handsome, charming, patient, and kind hearted man who cherished his wife, children and grandchildren. He never had an unkind word to say. He always had a twinkle in his eye and enjoyed having a good time. He loved the Blue Bombers, the Casino, great food, beer and maple buds! His favourite line after breakfast What's for supper?? The family would like to thank the doctors and staff for all the care and support provided during his stay at the Concordia Hospital. A very special thank you to Lucien, Jacqueline and Maurice Mousseau for their unwavering support, comfort and good company for Aline during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday December 13 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street with Father Ron Léger CSV, officiating. Reception will follow.
