EDWIN ARTHUR GRIENKE 1929 - 2006 It is with joy and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Edwin Arthur Grienke at age 77 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Katarina (Schroeder) of 54 years, 6 children; Marcia and Larry Henzel, Calvin and Evelyn Grienke, Mavis and Dale Krentz, Terence and Tracey Grienke, Marla and Monty Seper, Meriena and Brian Dowhy, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Carl Grienke on July 13, 1995 and Pauline (Fender) Grienke on January 25, 1996; his in-laws, Gerhard Schroeder on December 2, 1971 and Anna (Friesen) Schroeder on January 30,1985. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Curtis Krahn, the nurses and staff at the Vita Hospital and Personal Care Home, the Steinbach Rehab nurses and staff for the excellent care they provided for our dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinsons or Alzheimers Society or the St. Paul Lutheran Memorial Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Steinbach Funeral Home. Viewing will be held Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the Steinbach Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. with a program at 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with viewing prior to the Service. Interment at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
