Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOANNE CLARA HALIBURTON Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer; it is with deep regret we announce the death of our mother Joanne Clara Haliburton on Friday, December 15, 2006 at the age of 70 years. Mom was born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and grew up in the Grand Pre area of the Annapolis Valley. One of her first jobs was as a stenographer for Good Year Tires in Halifax. She married John ( Jock ) Haliburton in 1956 with whom she raised 5 children: Douglas (Cathy), Debora, Gayle (Tom), Nancy (Daryl) and David (Kristi). The family moved to Winnipeg in 1974 where Mom made her home for the next 32 years and took pleasure in her work for HomeCare until she retired in 1999. Joanne loved her family and enjoyed her good friends, her Tuesday Senior's group at the Church, shopping, reading, going to restaurants and watching her favourite shows: Oprah, Dr. Phil, Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and Jeopardy. She also loved to travel and visit family on the east and west coast whenever she could. Remaining to forever cherish Joanne's memory are her brothers and sisters, Rosaline, Annie May, Nelson and Winston and by many nieces and nephews. Grandma adored her 10 grandchildren Ian, Amanda (Paul), Craig, Matthew, Joshua, Rachel, Christopher, Tynan, Rebecca and Abigail and loved to spend time with them and hear about their daily lives. Peter Trask, I am one of the nephews of Joanne. Loved her dearly, and still do. She gave very much love to her children and family. I bless her here on earth and shall see her in heaven, along with my loving mother Rosaline, all my aunties, uncles, and cousins.... LOVE to ALL.
