Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVE BONNER David Reginald Bonner, born March 24, 1928, in Winnipeg died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Boundary Trails Health Centre of prostate cancer. Dave had a happy youth mostly in Woodhaven. His interest in photography came from a time spent grooming horses for a neighbourhood photographer. He got a job at the Winnipeg Free Press at 18 as a news photographer and worked there for 32 years, moving to the Winnipeg Tribune for nine months before its demise. Dave has been a free lance photographer ever since. Perhaps his most content days have been living in his cabin at La Riviere these past nine years. Dave is survived by his wife Beverley (nee Francis) and the joy of his life, daughter Paula (Daryl Hornby) of Toronto; one sister, Anne Gallie (Reg Mason) of Carman; very special nephew and niece, Andrew Gallie of Winnipeg and Elizabeth Moffatt (Bob deceased) of Winnipeg and her wonderful children Regan, Andrea and Nicola. Dave was a life member (1946) and past President (1972) of the Winnipeg Press Club, and also President of the La Riviere ski club for many years. A celebration of Dave's life will commence at 7:00 p.m. on January 6 at the Holiday Mountain Day Lodge, La Riviere, MB. Anyone who wishes should donate to a charity of their choice. Please do not send flowers.
