He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lillian; children, Wayne (Nancy Lemay), Joanne Donnelly (Michael), Lorraine Dailly (Ian), Tom (Desiree Kleemann), Janet Rewucki (Randy Chudyk); grandchildren, Matthew Fijal, Anna Donnelly, Christopher and Deanna Dailly, Zachary and Ivy Fijal, Leah, Alyssa and Derek Rewucki; dear brother Mickey (Beverley); brother-in-law Leo Beyer; sister-in-law Edith Fread; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. At age 17, Roy served in the Navy in the North Atlantic. Upon returning, he purchased a cottage at Brereton Lake where he spent many happy summers appreciating the beauty of nature with family and friends. Roy began his career in graphic arts and advertising, and after over 35 years, he retired as advertising supervisor at MTS in 1983. Music, art, gardening, cooking, carpentry and sports were among Roy's vast array of interests. He took great pleasure in sharing his creativity and expertise in art by teaching classes in watercolours and portraiture for over 50 years. As a proud father and grandfather, Roy enjoyed recollections of family times and humourous sayings. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren and students. Special thanks for the loving care that Roy received from Dr. A. Bertsch, staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care (Dr. M. Garcia), and Concordia Oncology ( Dr. P. Harris), and his Angels of Mercy at both locations.
