ROSS HENRY FICK 1939 - 2006 Ross Fick of Winnipeg passed away peacefully on December 14, 2006 at the age of 67 years. He was predeceased by his father Thomas and wife Myra, and is survived by his mother Grace; sister Heatherann (Mike); children, Gavin (Patti) and Colin (Sherrell); and his five precious grandchildren, Brandon, Carson, Jeffrey, Alyssa and Leah. Ross was a lifelong hockey fan, always very involved at the community level and then with the St. James Canucks, and was an ardent fan of the Winnipeg Jets back in the WHA days. He was also a curler, a love of which was passed on from his father, and in his youth, spent many evenings and weekends at various curling rinks around town. Summer was spent at the lake, with West Hawk Lake and Falcon Lake being two of his favourites, and this affection has been willingly taken up by his boys. Ross succumbed to cancer, but his courage and dignity during his illness made his children very proud, and we'll miss him. We all wish to sincerely thank his caregivers over the last year. At Ross's request, there will be no public service and a private service will be conducted this summer in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
