Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH GOLUB Edith Golub, beloved widow of Sydney Alexander Golub, daughter of the late Samuel and Molly Simovitch, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Sharon Home (Kanee Centre) in North Winnipeg. She was 87. Edith will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Lorne (Bonny), Murray (Marilyn), David (Melody); grandchildren, Marlo (Howard), Michael (Tamar), Debra, Daniel, Mark and Michael; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Dylan and Sophia Rose; sister Anne Ruben and brother Earl Simmons (Gloria). She will be sorely missed by all. Edith was born in Minsk, Russia on June 14, 1919 and immigrated to Winnipeg at an early age. She grew up and was educated in the heart of North Winnipeg and has never forgotten her wonderful roots. She was an avid educator, aspiring pianist and had a passion for family, friends, community, music and was an active participant for many years in Rosh Pina Synagogue and was a member of its choir. The family would like to thank Edith's caregivers, Virginia, Esther, Angelina, Dori and all the staff at the Sharon Home for their wonderful and warm care of our Mother. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory should be sent to Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society or the Sharon Home and would be sincerely appreciated. Funeral services were held at Etz Chayim on December 13, 2006.
