EILEEN TURNBULL (nee COWLISHAW) Peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2006 at Deer Lodge Centre, Eileen left us at 93 years of age. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Ron in 1998 and her son-in-law, Bob in 1999. Behind to remember her are; her daughter Janet Fast; grandchildren, Debbie and Ray Sleeva, Michael Fast, Chris and Cara Fast, Heather and Richard Douglas; and seven great-grandchildren, Trevin, Tailer, Teagann, Brighton, Zachary, Joshua and Elisabeth. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives around the world. Eileen was born January 8,1913 in Bristol, England and came to Canada at the age of 10. After Business College she started work at Great West Life, where she met her husband. They were married in 1940 and had 58 wonderful years together. She was a member of Deer Lodge United Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. As music was also a large part of her life, she was active in the church choir and spent many hours at the organ learning and playing for family and friends. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow.
