Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySEAN PATRICK TROWSKI November 2, 1960 November 11, 2006 It is with great sorrow we announce the tragic passing of our son and brother Sean in Vancouver. Sean was born in Victoria, BC to Marx and Sandra Trowski (nee Ball). Sean grew up in Winnipeg and was known in his youth for his spirited, joyful and determined character. He was full of smiles and made us all laugh with his silly antics. When he was a teenager, Sean decided he wanted to be a police officer and worked hard to achieve his dream. He graduated in 1981 from the Winnipeg Police Academy at the top of his class receiving a honourary scholarship. Sean's first assignment in uniform was in Division #11 (downtown) and his last position was as Detective in the WPD Child Abuse Unit. As stated by his friend and partner Kelly, Sean was truly a role model to others and the epitome of the consummate police officer . He served 10 years with the WPD and during that time received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from the University of Winnipeg. In 1991 Sean joined the Vancouver Police Department. Over the next 16 years Sean served, with numerous distinctions and special recognitions, in several departments. Detective Sean Trowski had an outstanding career that included work in the Sexual Offences Squad and the Homicide Squad. He had an excellent and well earned reputation as an intelligent and thorough investigator. Sean was renowned for his kindness, generosity, hardwork, and sense of humour, and will fondly and affectionately be remembered by his family, many friends, and co-workers. Sean is survived by his parents, Marx and Sandra, brothers, Michael, Nolan, Gary and sisters, Rose and Carlene. His nephews, Aaron and Jeremy, and nieces, Erica, Charlotte and Luca. Sean also leaves to mourn his step-mother Jean and step-brother Leon and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Winnipeg and British Columbia. Sean touched so many people's lives with his love, charm and generous fun loving nature and the family thank all who remember him with the love and affection he so richly deserved. In honour of Sean scholarships, for future police officers, have been established in Winnipeg and Vancouver. Donations can be made payable to The Sean Trowski Scholarship Fund.
