Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER MIKRUT March 15, 1915 - December 14, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Walter on Thursday, December 14, 2006. Walter passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Grace Hospital. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gladys; his grandsons and their wives, Vince and Lisa, Ron and Trina; his great-grandchildren, Kelsy and Austin. He was predeceased by his daughter Helen and son-in-law Don. Walter was born March 15, 1915 in Poland. Walter and Gladys wed in Germany in June 1944. A year later their only daughter Helen, whom he cherished, was born. The three of them immigrated to Canada in 1950 to start their new life of freedom. His greatest joys were chatting with friends, neighbours, and spending quality time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your smile could light up a room Granpa, we love you.
