Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB VAN DER WEYDE May 11, 1925 December 16, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jake on Sunday, December 17, 2006. Jake passed away peacefully in his sleep at home where he wanted to be. Jake will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cornalia Corrie ; his daughters, Deanna (Ian) grandchildren, Matthew and Shania, Trudy (Richard); grandchildren, Anson and Aynslie, MaryAnn (J.R.); grandchildren; Jacob and Jillian and son Randy. Jake was born May 11, 1925 in Holland. Jake immigrated to Canada in 1954 and Corrie followed in 1955. They were wed December 3, 1955. For many years, along with his family, they operated Van der Weyde's Greenhouses. Jake was happiest in his gardens. In keeping with Jake's wishes there will be a Prayer Service on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home Cemetery, Hwy #1 E at Navin Rd.
