Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGERARD (JERRY) LAPLUME A soldier until the end, Jerry LaPlume passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Tache Nursing Centre. He leaves to mourn his children, Lorraine (Terry) Thomson, Janette (Wayne) Thrush, Bob LaPlume, Mona (Dale) Marshall; grandchildren, Jill (Don) Wrigglesworth, Delanie Thomson, Tanis (Andrew) McCarthy, Kristine and Kelly Marshall; and one great grandson, Jackson Wrigglesworth; brothers, Henri and Raoul. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite, three brothers, and four sisters. Dad served with the 2nd Battalion, Scottish Regiment from 1941 - 1943. Upon his return to Winnipeg, he was employed by The Hudson Bay Co, Northern Division for over forty years. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy., with Rev. Fr. Patrick Morand officiating. Interment will be in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to give heartfelt thanks to the staff on 5ABC at Tache Centre for all their care and support.
