Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE COMTE (nee LESAGE) Peacefully at the Notre Dame Hospital on Saturday, December 16, 2006, Mrs. Cécile Comte of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 89 years. She leaves to mourn 11 children, Jean (Simone), Marie (John McNab), André (Gisèle), Suzanne (Geof Trunkfield), Aubert, Céline, Clémence (Wayne Deschouwer), Alain (Lorraine), Alice (Aimé Gautron), Fernand (Nicole), Léo (Audrey); 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Clémence Chabbert and Yolande (Tony) Bérard; her brother Donat (Denise) Lesage; brothers-in-law, Pierre Delaquis, Louis, Raymond and Albert (Céline) Comte; and sisters-in-law, Elise and Agnès Comte, and Solange Gaultier. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 1990; son Michel in 1944; daughter-in-law Barbara in 2006; parents Frank Lesage in 1990 and Clémentine (née Labossière) in 1937; brother Eugène; sisters, Agnès (Victor) Pantel and Thérèse Delaquis; brothers-in-law, Emile Chabbert, Michel, Joseph (Marie), Léon, Auguste (Suzanne) Comte and Jos Gaultier. Cécile was born November 25, 1917 in Notre Dame de Lourdes. She attended school at the St. Léon Convent at the early age of five. She enrolled at Normal School in Brandon and then taught four years at Ecole Montcalm. She married Paul on October 29, 1940. They lived on the farm, and moved to town in 1990 where she resided until her passing. She loved to garden and volunteer at the Foyer and did so right up to the time of her passing. Her door was always wide open to children and grandchildren. Relatives were very important to her and she enjoyed talking to everyone she met in her daily activities. Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
