MARGARET ADAMS Peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the West Park Manor, Margaret passed away at the age of 86. She will be remembered by her children, Mae (Al), Rick (Faye), Gerry, Juanita; grandchildren, Heather (Tim), Jerri (Barry), Bobbi (Dave), Michelle, Melissa, Penny, Amanda, Peter, Dawne, Racquel (James), Claire, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister Eva; sisters-in-law, Marie and Joan Gumosz of England; brother Clare (Susan). She was predeceased during the Second World War by her first husband Robert Palmer; second husband George Adams; her parents William and Alma Sanderson; brother Russell; grandchildren, Kim, Robert and Jeddy. She was born in Portage la Prairie, later moving to Winnipeg with her family. She held various positions after finishing school, mainly in housekeeping and as a short order cook. Her most cherished position was as a live-in housekeeper for the Curtis family where she cared for the three children, Bruce, Glen and Joy. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at West Park Manor Personal Care Home. Thank you to Jeannie and Bethand to all the staff of one north who made Margaret feel so at home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5.
